- Has and educational background in Community Economic Development and Marine and Environmental Science;

- Is daughter of the late community activist and artist, Jacqueline Muhammad;
- Is Granddaughter of slain Civil Right’s Leader, Maceo H. Turner, Esq.;
- Is the mother of three girls Sajdah, Imani and Sade and;
